Lons <br />Division Dneaor <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 116, <br />Paragraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on June 2, 2000, an application to revise coal mining <br />operations at the Coal Ridge No. I Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was <br />submitted by NCIG Financial, Inc.. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations <br />initiate from this date of filing. <br />This Technical Revision corrects and clarifies numerous issues in the permit including the identification of interest, <br />reclamation dates, areas of disturbance, final reclamation contours, and an as-built drawing and the stability of a <br />constructed sedimentation pond. <br />The underground coal mining operation is on land located approximately 7 miles west of Glemvood Springs, <br />Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: <br />T6S, R91 W; Portions of Sections 1 and 12 <br />T6S, R90W; Portions of Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 15 and 16 <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps of Storm King Mountain <br />and New Castle. <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Garfield County Courthouse, <br />109 8th St Ste 200, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601, and at [he Division office. For additional information or to <br />provide written comments, contact the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, <br />Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567. In order for us to comply with regulatory time frames, we request that <br />comments be submitted within fifteen (IS) days of this letter.
