The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33,
Section 116, Pazagraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on April 28, 1997, an application to
revise coal mining operations at the Trapper Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing.
The revision was submitted by Trapper Mining [nc. All review and comment periods as provided in
the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing.
The revision addresses updates and modifications to previously approved reclamation and conservation
programs. These changes are included in Trapper Mine's 1996 Annual Report, which includes updates
to the annual reclamation report, annual hydrology report, drainageway reconstruction, spoil sampling,
topsoil pile locations, livestock ponds and several minor items.
The surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 6 miles SW of Craig, Colorado.
The permit area is further described as follows:
Portions of Sections I, 2, and 3, Township 5 North, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M.
Portions of Sections 30 and 31, Township 6th North, Range 90 West oC the 6th P.M.
Portions of Sections 25, 26, 28, 33, 34, 35, and 36, Township 6 North, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M.
The above-mentioned tracts of land aze shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Castor Gulch.

Courthouse, 221 W Victory Way, Craig, CO 81625, and at the Division office. For additional
