Long <br />Division Director <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, <br />Section 116, Pazagraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on April 28, 1997, an application to <br />revise coal mining operations at the Trapper Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. <br />The revision was submitted by Trapper Mining [nc. All review and comment periods as provided in <br />the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />The revision addresses updates and modifications to previously approved reclamation and conservation <br />programs. These changes are included in Trapper Mine's 1996 Annual Report, which includes updates <br />to the annual reclamation report, annual hydrology report, drainageway reconstruction, spoil sampling, <br />topsoil pile locations, livestock ponds and several minor items. <br />The surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 6 miles SW of Craig, Colorado. <br />The permit area is further described as follows: <br />Portions of Sections I, 2, and 3, Township 5 North, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M. <br />Portions of Sections 30 and 31, Township 6th North, Range 90 West oC the 6th P.M. <br />Portions of Sections 25, 26, 28, 33, 34, 35, and 36, Township 6 North, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land aze shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Castor Gulch. <br />A copy of [he technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Moffat County <br />Courthouse, 221 W Victory Way, Craig, CO 81625, and at the Division office.
