Box 128 <br />Oak Creek, CO 80467 <br />Deaz Sir/Madame: <br />As required in Section 3.02.2(1) of the Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Boazd for Coal Mining, The Pittsburg & Midway Coal Mining Co. (P&M), hereby serves notice <br />of its intention to apply for partial release of a Letter of Credit (performance bond) and full <br />release of a Surety Bond (performance bond) held on reclaimed acres at the Edna Mine. <br />P&M seeks release of $74,559.00 from the performance bonds for areas with reclamation <br />liability covered under Permit C-80-001. Permit C-80-001 was originally issued November 16, <br />1981. Reclamation work in the areas for which bond release is requested includes grading, <br />topsoil replacement and revegetation. Reclamation activities took place from 1981 to 1988. <br />The Edna Mine is located northwest of Oak Creek in Routt County, Colorado. The areas <br />affected by this request are located west of the 6'" PM and are contained in sections 13 and 24, <br />T4N, R86W, and Section 18 and 19, T4N, R85W. The areas encompass approximately 63.6 <br />acres. <br />Any written comments, objections and/or requests for a public hearing or informal conference <br />regazding P&M's request should be submitted to the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology, <br />1313 Sherman St., Room 215, Denver, Colorado, 80203. <br />Sincerely, <br />Brian D.
