i~ 1
• •
Bob Oswald
June 30, 1998
Pagc; 2
(c) A signed affidavit certifying the integrity of [his soil is included.
(d) The importation process began early March, 1998, and will conclude
approximately mid-July, 1998.
(e) The soil will be used to fill the northern portion of the unmined area, and to
increase the soil depth by approximately Z feet. The post-mining configuration
will remain basically the same, with the exception of the elevation of the north
side. Instead of a relatively flat area along the north side of the property, there
will now be a gradual slope from the north property line across the 130 to 180
toward the shoreline. It is hoped that this soil placement will inhibit the
community of Russian ICnappweed that is currently existing along this northern
shore.
(f) The soil will be spread out using a combination of heavy equipment, including
front-end loader, track dozer, and a motor grader. The soil will be graded to a 2%
to 4°% slope to minimize the potential for erosion. The soil will be placed to a
depth that settling and voids will not be a problem.
Hopefully, this information is adequate for your purpose. If more information is needed,
please advise. The hard copy of this document will be forwarded by U.S. Mail.
Sincerely,
UNITED COMPANIES
~a~ ~. M~G~.e~
Paul E.
