That
information is listed below.
The soil in question was transported to the site from a Mesa County road reconstruction
projr;ct that United is building '/z mile north of the Virginia Acres Pit. The soil was
generated as super-excavation to widen the roadway and excavation for underground
utilities. The site was a convenient and logical location to haul the excess soil. We did
not €;ive consideration to the previously mentioned rule, however.
Rule 3.1.5 (9)
(a) The soil has been placed along the northern boundary of the permitted area for
approximately 300 feet on either side of the access road onto the site.
(b) There are approximately 11,000 cubic yards that have been imported onto the site
as of this date. It is expected that very little more will be hauled in, probably less
that 1000 cubic yards. This soil will be placed in an approximate 2-foot lift along
the north and northwest perimeter of the mined area.
