Lang <br />Dir ision Dveclor <br />Pursuant to Title 33, Article 34, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, the Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice that on <br />February 22, 1993, an application for renewal of a valid, existing permit to <br />conduct coal mining operations by Terror Creek Co., 1840 Highway 133, Paonia, <br />Colorado 81428, was deemed complete for the purposes of filing. All reviews <br />and comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated <br />thereunder initiate from this day of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to continue conducting coal mining operations at the <br />Terror Creek Loadout. The permit area is located in the following sections: <br />Township 13 South, Range 91 West, 6th P.M. <br />Section 15: E 1/2 NE 1/4 SW 1/4 south of State Highway 133 <br />and the NE 1/4 SE 1/4 north of the railroad and <br />south of State Highway 133 <br />in Delta County. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map <br />of Bowie, Colorado. <br />In order for us to approve this renewal application, we are required to <br />confirm that projections and assumptions in the permit remain valid and that <br />the operation is in compliance with the approved permit. We are requesting <br />your agency's evaluation of the renewal application with respect to the <br />continued validity of the assumptions and projections of the mining and <br />reclamation plan which relate to fish and wildlife considerations, including <br />potential impacts to threatened or endangered species. <br />Applicable sections of the <br />enclosed.
