Lochhead
Executive Duecwr
Michael B Long
Division Dueuor
We have received your request on behalf of Domtar to continue the
period of temporary cessation for the Domtar Gypsum Quarry for an
additional five (5) years. However, we do require approval of the
Mine Land Reclamation Board in order to grant this extention.
Therefore, we will tentatively schedule your request for the
September 27-28, 1995 Board Meeting in Denver. I recommend your
participation at this meeting and have attached a list of questions
that we anticipate will be asked of us by the Board Members. Your
cooperation in helping to answer these questions will be greatly
appreciated. Of primary concern is the estimation of an adequate
reclamation cost. Also, it is imperative that all planned
stormwater controls be constructed and functioning as designed by
the September Board Meeting.
To this end, I anticipate a 2-3 day field
monday, August 28, 1995. Please let me
during the week of the 28th to assist me
reclamation responsibilities.
Sincerely,
Thomas A.
