Farrell, Reclamation Specialist ~-1-77~a-/a <br />Pursuant to the requirement of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act* to <br />inform counties and certain municipalities of mining and reclamation permit <br />amendment applications filed with this office, please know that Castle <br />Concrete Company has filed a/an Amendment to the mining operation at or near <br />Section 32, Township 13S, Range 67W, 6th Prime Meridian. The applicant <br />proposes to reclaim the site for wildlife habitat. <br />The Mined Land Reclamation Board must deny a permit far any proposed mining <br />operation which would be in violation of zoning, subdivision regulations or <br />any master plan for extraction (See C.R.S. 34-32-115(4)(e)). Similarly, the <br />Board cannot grant a permit fora new mining operation if the operator's <br />reclamation plan for an area is inconsistent with an adopted plan by any <br />county, city and county, city, or town unless a prior declaration of intent to <br />change or waive the prohibition is obtained by the applicant from the affected <br />government subdivisions (See C.R.S. 34-32-109(8)). Please return the enclosed <br />form to provide this critical information. <br />The applicant is required to place a copy of the application for public <br />inspection with the Clerk of the county in which the proposed mine is <br />situated. This is intended to provide the application for public review and <br />comment.
