As we
understand it, Indian Ricegrass will be interseeded using the broadcast method at a
rate of one Ib/acre and Beardless bluebunch wheatgrass will be interseeded using the
same method at a rate of 3.0 Ibs/acre. For 16.9 acres of the Corley property, this
results in the application of about 67.6 Ibs of seed, without accounting for purity and
germination factors. No other species is proposed for interseeding as all other required
species were previously seeded at the approved rate.
The Division considers Step 1 of NOV CV-2004-003 abated as of today, October 8,
2004. Step 2 of the abatement (conduct interseeding of above species) is to be
completed by October 31, 2004.
If you have questions please call me.
Sincer ly, C~~
Kent Gorham
Environmental Protection Specialist II
CC: Dan Hernandez
Office of
Mined Land Reclamation
Office of
Active and Inactive Mines
Colorado
Geological Survey
