• • III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
999
10 SOUTH GRAVEL PIT, M-78-056
EXHIBIT D
The mining of the 10 South pit will be primarily for the
excavation of road base material.
The operation started at ground level and goes to a level of
approximately 30 feet. The depth will be determined by staying
out of ground water.
There is little or no top soil to be removed In this pit. As
the excavation of the pit develops, the outside perimeter of the
pit will be back sloped to a 2:1 slope on the final grade.
A Technical Revision is needed for the 10 South Plt whereas it
will be an INTERMITTENT operation. Mining In the 10 South pit
will depend on work being done to roads in the area of the pit.
Life of the pit is approximately 20 years.
EXHIBIT E
The banks of the pit will be back sloped 2:1. Vegetation is
sparse acid since top soil is minimal, revegetation will be
difficult to accomplish.
EXHIBIT G
The hydrology consist of an and climate at the base of the
foothills. The sub-surface water level is approximately 200'
below the surface. The only surface water is in a concrete
ditch that runs only as water is avalla}~le. Tlie ditch belongs
to the Terrace Ditch Company.
EXHIBIT L
As we proceed with the pit, reclamation costs will be minimal as
we will be reclaiming the banks as the pit is enlarged.
EXHIBIT M
No other permits or licenses are needed for this pit.
