The numbering of issues is in the order presented by the
Division.
Issue No. 1 -Straw bale flow rate methodoloey.
OMLLC used published values for flow rates through straw bales from the text book Applied
Hydrology and Sedimentology for Disturbed Areas by Barfield, Warner and Haan, 1987. While
the Division may wish to critique the Authors' work the values aze, nevertheless, published and
used appropriately by OMLLC. A brief note has been added to the sediment fence and straw bale
demonstration for K-Mart flats describing the lack of CDMG support for the published values.
Issue No. 8 -Topsoil Downdrain SedCad run.
A revised SedCad run titled Topsoil Downdrain -Upper Pad showing downdrain channel
sideslopes as being 2H:1 V is attached for inclusion into the September 18, 2002 materials.
Please contact me at 970-929-5806 if I can provide any additional information or if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
~ ~ k~
J es A.
