i •
EXHIBIT C
MINING PLAN
PROPOSED ULA PIT
It is proposed to begin the excavation from this gravel PJ_~~~
pit during the summer of 1991 and end approximately 20 years S~ 6
later. fC~10 -'1~5
Topsoil would be placed into a long flat-topped berm to
the north-east of the mined area. This material, if left for
more than one growing season, would be seeded with the seeding
mixture specified in the reclamation plan in Exhibit D. Top-
soil in this area is not more Chan 6-12 inches deep, and all
would be stripped ahd placed into the berm before mining of
gravel would begin.
Overburden is of the amount to be inconsequential. The
deposit of material to be mined is estimated at 45 feet and
at is the maximum proposed mining depth.
'Che major components of the mining operation will consist
-~
of a 50 foot access road along the east line of the sw'~ of the
SW;, Section l6, and storage piles of gravel immediately to
the east of the active mining swath which will be oriented
east i:o west beginning about 250 feet from the north-east cor-
ner of the permitted area.
At any time the size of the significantly disturbed areas
would be apprpx-rmately 300 feet by 600 feet ith about half
being under active reclamation activities.
,~ (~ C
l 1
~~
8
