Third party <br />monitoring has been implemented. <br />Additional Board Ordered Corrective Action Items I' <br />From Hearings of June 25th and Julv 22. 1992: I, <br />Status: in Compliance <br />Progress: The Board ordered 4 additional interim corrective actions These have all <br />been completed or otherwise complied with (see the July 1, 1993 rep rt). <br />CCCD Question: Under #3 you indicate that permit standards are bein enforced in the <br />active tailings pond. What about permit standards being enforced i the other <br />areas? <br />Division Answer: Permit standards are being enforced at all require) monitor points. <br />CCCD Question: We ask again. What are the cyanide levels of water xiting the <br />tailings dam underdrain system? Ie the hydrogen peroxide effective or should <br />another procedure be explored? <br />Division Answer: BMRI reports that the cyanide concentration of the effluent form <br />the tailings area underdrain is approximately 7.5 ppm WAD. Yes, th hydrogen <br />peroxide is effective. The WAD cyanide analyses of the collection and have been <br />averaging less than 1 ppm. <br />CCCD Request: Finally, we ask again that you include our experts, Scott Mefford and <br />Dave Hyatt in the mailings of your periodic reports. II <br />Division Answer: If the Division had unlimited resources of persons 1 and money, we <br />would be glad to mail copies of the statue and progress reports to ~he parties' <br />experts. The Board ordered that the reports be copied to the parti~e to the <br />hearings.
