Peltroil Resources
presently holds the coal leases; Harrison-llestern Company is no longer
involved with the mines. The surface owner is a separate party in California.
The equipment at [he sites is owned by the Bendetti s. All groundwork has
been done by the brothers. During a phone conversation with Henry Bendetti
on February 11, 1980 he told me he and Louis are hoping to sell the equipment
on-site to Peltron Resources.
According to the State MLR Division, a permit to operate has been applied
for by the company. Posting of a reclamation bond and installation of the
runoff control plan are necessay before any activities can take place at
these mines.
During the inspection it was noted that no recent activity had occurred,
as evidenced by undisturbed snow. No mine identification signs were posted.
EILEEN DOHERTY
RECLAMATION SPECIALIST
