Diversion Ditch for Culvert A-3, Update Map M9 and M51, and: Revised Culvert
Numbering and Sizing Information.. ... .
On May 2, 1996 the Division approved MR-144, the Relocation of Culvert A3 in the West Pyeatt drainage. This
revision (TR-72) is filed to allow construction of a short diversion to channel the discharge from culvert A-3 back
into the original nondisturbed drainage. Permit Table 4.8-3 presents the sizing for the diversion ditch to be con-
structed (West Pyeatt No. 1) and map M51 shows the location. The SEDCAD riprap channel design calculations
are also included for the West Pyeatt Diversion and should be placed in Appendix Q, Section XVII. An additional
0.2 acres of disturbance is forecast with bond estimated at 5990. Sufficient funds are available in Trapper's bond.
Additional minor changes have also been made to Map M51. These changes are:
1) Removal of Culvert A-lA. This is a french drain and not part of the drainage and sediment control system.
This culvert reference is also removed from Table 4.8.1.
2) Orientation of culvert JGag-1.
3) Plotting of the drainage and sediment control s}•stem onto new M-51 base maps which aze the same as those
used for [he M 10 series and annual reports.
4) Removal of the East Pyeatt collection ditch since Ashmore pit advancement has removed the ditch.
5) Revised numbering of culverts in the A and F pit areas.
6) More accurate location of culverts proposed for the F pit area.
In addition, Map M9 (Roads) has been revised to show minor modifications to the F pit road system, and Figure
4.8-1a has been included to demonstrate how culverts are sized based on peak flows.
Please contact me if you have any questions or need additional information to process Otis request.
Since~rel ~./~
-f°y.. `
Forrest V.
