(Deposition of James Tatum)
1 his dates. I bought the twelve thousand acre tract
i
2 that we call Red River from Evergreen, and that was
3 in September of '84.
4 Q. Which tract is known as Red River on
5 these exhibits?
6 A. None of these. Red River is down
7 against the state line, twelve thousand acres, or
8 eleven thousand, and some-odd acres, approximately,
9 ten miles south of anything shown on these maps.
10 We bought that in September of
11 '84. The Storz Meadows tract was the next land
12 purchase that we made from Evergreen, and that was
i
13 not made until, probably, the latter part of '85 or
14 '86, so Mr. Barron's recollection that we had any
15 water exchange or any irrigation or anything going
16 on at Storz Meadows in '84 or '85 is incorrect. He
17 is a year or two out of place on that. we didn't
18 own the property and didn't assume control over it
19 until sometime after we bought it -- well, it says
20 that we bought it in May of 1985.
21 Q. Can you identify for the record the
22 document you are looking at?
23 A. This is an earnest money contract
24 between myself and Evergreen Land and Resources for
25 the three hundred and four acres known as Storz
MEEK & ASSOCIATES
3016 3rd Ave., Pueblo, Co 81008 (719) 542-1010
14
