According to the
model, the spillways can readily handle the design flows and will not overtop the structures. The
surface area of the ponds are minimal and overtopping by waves should present no problem as
wave action should be very minimal to non-existent. The slopes of the stockponds will be
covered with vegetation to reduce the potential for erosion.
Item 4 -Livestock access
The attached Permit page 4.05.8 has been modified to reflect the availability of 4h:1v areas for
livestock access.
Item 6 - As-Built Table
A copy of the most recent summary table (dated September 15, 1998) is included herein for
inclusion into Exhibit 7, Item 11 -Small Depressions/Tanks. The summary table will be updated
and submitted to the Division within 45 days after the new ponds are constructed. The updated
table will include the depth of the emergency spillways.
Colowyo would be pleased to discuss this revision with the Division at your convenience should
you so desire. Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely
~U
J mes A. Kier
Attachments
xc: S.
