TRAPPER MINING INC.
April 26, 2006
Mr. Jim Burnell
Environmental Protection Specialist
Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
Dear Mr. Burnell
RECEIVED
APR 2 7 2006
Division of Minerals and Geology
Re: Trapper Mining Inc.
Coal Exploration Permit NOI-CX-2005-189-06, Amendment No. 4
Please find enclosed duplicate copies of a drilling Notice of Intent (NOI) Amendment that is
intended to revise the location of one drill site to the above-referenced permit. Drill hole OS-
LW32 is relocated to a new location as detailed on the enclosed Amendment 4 application and
map. The drill site was previously approved and bonded with the original NOI-CX-2005-
189-006, Amendment 1 application.
Enclosed with this NOI Amendment application is an updated map that includes all drill hole
locations that were either approved with the original NOI-CX-2005-189-06 application, updated
with Amendments 1, 2 and 3, or are included with this amendment application. Please refer to the
original NOI-CX-2005-189-06 application for a proposed seed mix to be used for reclaiming the
sites as well as a hydrologic monitoring well schematic.
We feel that no change to the NOI surety bond should be required as a result of this amendment
application. In its new location, drill hole OS-LW32 is projected to be 180 feet more shallow than
the original location. Also, although drill hole 32 was originally placed in an area already
disturbed by mining (and not yet reclaimed) and the new site will require 0.23 additional acres of
surface disturbance, there are ten previously bonded drill holes that have been completed and
abandoned to date (holes OS-LW16, OS-LW18, OS-LW19, OS-LW20, OS-LW22, OS-LW23, OS-
LW24, OS-LW26, OS-LW28 and OS-LW29). While Trapper has no current plans to seek any bond
release until the drilling project is complete and all surface disturbance has been reclaimed, it
should be obvious that there is currently much excess bond capacity in place.
P.O. Box 187 Craig, Colorado 81626 (970) 824-4401
