Long, <br />Division Drteaor <br />Re: Colowyo Coal Mine Coal Mine Permit Renewal - Permit No. C-81-019 <br />Dear County Commissioners: <br />Pursuant to Rule 2.08.5(3)(b) of the regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, you are hereby notified that the right to <br />renew a valid, existing coal mining and reclamation permit was issued to <br />Colowyo Coal Company on ,;une 30, 1992 for the Colowyo Coal Mine for the period <br />ending November 4, 1997. <br />The surface mining operation is located approximately 28 miles southwest of <br />Craig, Colorado, on State Highway 13. The mine is located on federal, state <br />and private lands within Moffat and Rio Blanco Counties, Colorado. The legal <br />description of the lands included within the permit area is: <br />Township 4 North, Range 93 West, portions of Sections 15, <br />22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 33, 34; Township 3 North, Range 93 West, <br />portions of Sections 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, <br />20, 21, 22; West of the 6th P.M. <br />A more precise legal description can be found on page 2.03-15 of the permit <br />application.
