Long <br />Division Director <br />You should have recently received a copy of the Division's proposed decision package for <br />Permit Revision No. 2. The Division has proposed to approve the revision with one <br />stipulation. This proposed decision will allow Bowie Resources Ltd. to begin longwall <br />mining on or after October 15, 1999 when the public comment period on the proposed <br />decision ends. <br />As indicated in the proposed decision document, anyone with an interest which may be <br />adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal hearing before the <br />Mined Land Reclamation Board. Those requests must be made within 30 days of <br />publication of the proposed decision, which appeared in the Delta County Independent on <br />September 15, 1999. This notice is being sent to inform commentors that the regularly <br />scheduled meeting of the Mined Land Reclamation for the month of October is scheduled <br />to occur on October 20 and 21 in Denver. If a request for a hearing regarding the <br />Division's proposed decision on Permit Revision No. 2 is received, that hearing must be <br />held within 30 days, in accordance with rule 2.04.7(3)(b) of the Regulations of the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining.
