Concurrently with reviewing your application for the renewal of a
valid, existing permit at the Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine, the Division
has conducted a review of the existing permit application package
and has the following comments. These should be addressed in a
technical revision to the permit:
Identification of Interests:
1) Part of the Division's review of the identification of
interest and the Applicant Violator System included
contacting the Secretary of State's Office to verify that
the officers and directors of NCIG Financial listed in
the permit are correct. The office stated that NCIG
Financial was no longer doing business in the State of
Colorado, because the permit was revoked for failure to
file a corporate report. Please indicate the status of
NCIG with regard to the corporate permit.
Reclamation Cost Estimate:
2) A revised reclamation cost estimate was conducted for the
mine based on the Phase I bond release. Included in the
bond estimate are the remaining tasks to be completed on
site, topsoil replacement and revegetation. The total
bond amount is $125,847.00. The Division currently holds
$126,000, so no additional bond money is needed. A copy
of the bond estimate is attached.
