Upon careful review of this request, and
in consultation with the Coal Program staff, I have decided to deny this request.
I have done so based on a review of the situation by the staff, which I have attached.
Compliance with Colorado's coal mining and reclamation laws and regulations are a requisite
part of the day-to-day operations of Colorado's coal mining industry. The public expects a
system with sound regulatory oversight and timely industry compliance.
Sinc
~-
Ronald W.
