Box 591, Somerset, Colorado 81434, phone <br />(303) 929-5015, 1'ias filed an application for the renewal of its Mining and <br />Reclamation Permit No. C-007-80 (CMLRD) with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Board under provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act of <br />1979. The permit was issued by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board in <br />July, 1981. The five year permit term expires in July, 1986. The Mt. Gunnison <br />No. 1 Mine five year permit area contains lands in Sections 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, <br />18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 34, Township 13 South, Range 90 West, <br />6th Principal Meridian. The permit area is approximately 4240 acres. The . <br />location of the lands can be found on the USGS 7.5 minute Bowie Quadrangle <br />Topographic Map. The surface is owned by Atlantic Richfield Company, Grand Mesa <br />Properties and the U. S. Government. The coal is under Federal lease to Atlantic <br />Richfield Company. <br />The post mining land use is rangeland and wildlife habitat. <br />A copy of the permit renewal application is available for review at the Colorado <br />;4ired Land Reclamation Division, Room 423, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado <br />80203, phone (303) 866-3567 and at the Gunnison County Courthouse, 200 East <br />Virginia Street, Gunnison, Colorado 81230. Comments must be filed with Colorado <br />Mined Land Reclamation Division within 30 days of the last notice of <br />pu~lication. <br />
