112C Permit Amendment Application AM-1, Permit No M-1980-

RE: Pre-hearing Conference and Formal Public Hearing

Dear Party and/or Interested Person:
The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) has
received objections to the application for the Sokol Pit
112C Permit Amendment Application. Rule 1.4.9(2)(c)
requires that the Division issue a Letter of Recommendation
to the Board no later than February 4,2006.The Rationale to
Recommend Approval of the Amendment Application is included
with this Notice.
Therefore, staff has scheduled the matter for Formal Public
Hearing before the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board,
for consideration. The hearing for consideration of the
Sokol 112C, Amendment Application will occur during the
February 15,16, 2006 Board meeting, at 1313 Sherman Street,
Room 318, Denver, Colorado, commencing at 10:00a.m.or as
soon thereafter as the matter can be considered. Parties
and interested persons will have the opportunity to be
heard.
A Pre-hearing Conference has been scheduled to occur on
January 3`d, 2006, beginning at 1:OOp.m.at 1313 Sherman
Street, Room 318, Denver, Colorado. Mr. Dan Hernandez will
preside as Pre-Hearing Conference Officer. The purpose of
the Pre-Hearing Conference is to resolve issues to the
extent possible, to describe the Board Hearing process, to
