Notes: 1. Standard Parameters include:
- pH (Field/SM2540-C)
- Temperature (Field)
- Conductivity (Fieldl5M 2510-B)
- Turbidity (SM 2130-B)
- Total Suspended Solids (TSS) (SM 2540-D)
2.. Drinking Quality Parameters (DQP) include
- Sulfate -Iron
- Nitrate -Sodium
- Chloride -Fluoride
- Carbonate -Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)
- Bicarbonate - pH
- Calcium -Magnesium
3. Extended Parameters (SDWAJ specifically include:
- Arsenic -Chlorinated Pesticides (8081)
- Phosphate-Total -Herbicides (8151)
- Mercury - TEPH (8015 mod.)
- Fecal Coliform - BTEX + MTBE (8021 mod.)
4. Sampling locations proposed are reflective of the anticipated progress of mining. "All" sampling locations
includes monitoring wells CRMW 1-7, 9, 16, and 39-42.
5. Each sampling event shall include any and all dewatering waters being discharged to recharge wells
tested at the source (mine sump or silt pond) or receiving body.
The DQP's are an indicator of how the users would view the water at the tap and the Extended Parameter
measurements are to establish background levels, if any, of these constituents. A sample set will also be
collected from water being delivered to recharge sites (if any) and tested for the same set of parameters
proposed for the groundwater monitoring wells.
4.1 Samole Collection
Field parameters will be recorded during the well purging process associated with each sampling event on a
standard Groundwater Sampling Record (refer to form in Appendix B) along with:
