Modified Pages 12-31, Table 12-6 (pages 12-32, <br />12-33), and page 12-35. ~~ `ry~~ <br />In regards to the concerns <br />letter, Exhibit 7-7 has been <br />the ground drainage and ditcl <br />at the Seneca II Mine. The <br />berms and side ditches have <br />to flow out have been located <br />raised in your June 6, 1989 <br />revised to accurately reflect <br />) locations on the haul roads <br />locations where MSHA safety <br />been breached to allow water <br />on Exhibit 7-7. <br />Also, all culvert locations and design specifications <br />(except la and 12a) have been examined and revised on <br />Exhibit 7-7, Table 12-6, and Appendix 12-2 to reflect the <br />current locations. Peabody plans to continue to release <br />water along haul roads according to the approved permit, <br />but will control erosion more effectively with the use of <br />riprap and other approved erosion control methods. The <br />direction of haul road drainage ditches are accurately <br />depicted on Exhibit 7-7. Also shown are ditch sections <br />where only runoff from the haul road enters the side <br />ditch. Where runoff from upslope drainage areas is <br />carried by haul road drainage ditches, these ditches are <br />designed based on Peabody typical ditch sections (see <br />Exhibit 7-14 and Appendix 7-6-4) and are shown on Exhibit <br />7-7. <br />~0 <br />
