Dear Mr. Mount: Attached please find three copies of the following information concerning your request of June 6, 1989 to update Exhibit 7-7, Hydrologic Control Plan. S~ e ~T 1. Modified Pages 12-31, Table 12-6 (pages 12-32, 12-33), and page 12-35. ~~ `ry~~ In regards to the concerns letter, Exhibit 7-7 has been the ground drainage and ditcl at the Seneca II Mine. The berms and side ditches have to flow out have been located raised in your June 6, 1989 revised to accurately reflect ) locations on the haul roads locations where MSHA safety been breached to allow water on Exhibit 7-7. Also, all culvert locations and design specifications (except la and 12a) have been examined and revised on Exhibit 7-7, Table 12-6, and Appendix 12-2 to reflect the current locations. Peabody plans to continue to release water along haul roads according to the approved permit, but will control erosion more effectively with the use of riprap and other approved erosion control methods. The direction of haul road drainage ditches are accurately depicted on Exhibit 7-7. Also shown are ditch sections where only runoff from the haul road enters the side ditch. Where runoff from upslope drainage areas is carried by haul road drainage ditches, these ditches are designed based on Peabody typical ditch sections (see Exhibit 7-14 and Appendix 7-6-4) and are shown on Exhibit 7-7. ~0
