The listed
surface area in Exhibit 67 of 0.5 acres is incorrect. Exhibit 67 has been revised to
correct this error, and is enclosed.
The surface area for MB-4 is adequate for the replacement pond at the train loadout.
Therefore, no revision to Exhibit 67 is necessary.
The depletion calculation in Exhibit 67 continues to be very conservative. As stated
in the Exhibit, MCC has not included the increase in mine outflow that has been
returned to the river. Based on outflows that occurred in 1996, mare water was
returned to the North Fork than was used by MCC. Therefore, no further U.S. Fish
and Wildlife Service consultation is needed for this estimate as it has not changed.
Please call if you have any questions.
Kathy Welt
USl fwsa.doc
cc: Phil Schmidt
