Long <br />RCR #27, Box 27340 <br />Oak Creek, CO 80467 <br />Dear Ms. Long: <br />As required in Section 3.02.2(1) of the Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Board for Coal Mining, The Pittsburg & Midway Coal Mining Co. (P&M), hereby serves notice <br />of its intention to apply for partial release of a Letter of Credit (performance bond) held on <br />reclaimed acres at the Edna Mine. <br />P&M seeks release of $821,613.00 from the performance bond for azeas with reclamation liability <br />covered under Permit C-80-001. Permit C-80-001 was originally issued November 16, 1981. <br />Reclamation work in the area for which bond release is requested includes backfilling and grading <br />of the final pit and spoil ridges, and drainage reestablishment. Reclamation activities took place <br />from 1980 to 1996. <br />The Edna Mine is located northwest of Oak Creek in Routt County, Colorado. The area affected <br />by this request is located west of the 6th P.M. and is contained in Sections 13, 14, 23 and 24, all <br />within T4N, R86W.
