2.05.211)
~~
The production rate at the Sanborn Creek Mine will be a
function of how much coal can be sold from it. The minimum
production rate will be about 250,000 tons per year with an
expected maximum production rate of 750,000 tons per year.
Other than safety of the miners, maximum recovery of
the coal reserve is the objective of the Operator. This is
accomplished by sound engineering plans based on prudent mining
practices.
(2) Operation Description
The area of land affected by the Somerset Mine is shown
on maps E-3207R, E-3208R, CS-1120, C8-787AR, AS-1327R, A8-1328R,
CS-1199, E8-3229, CS-1201.
These maps depict the surface facilities including
power lines and associated access and haul roads required for the
Somerset Mine in the Elk Creek, Bear Creek, and the Hubbard Creek
drainages.
The proposed air shaft facilities in Hubbard Creek were
approved as a technical revision to the permit. The only facili-
ties built were the pad, substation, power line, drainage and
sedimentation control structures and a fence. The maps depicting
this information are E8-3351R, and F8-173.
The area of land to be affected by the Sanborn Creek
Mine is shown on Drawings 5-002 and 5-006.
The total mine area projected for current and future
mining in the Sanborn Creek reserve area will be included in the
mine permit area. It is requested that the initial permit be
approved for 5 pears.
2.05 - 3
Rev. 4:8-08-91
