• sur~axY . <br />The Somerset Mining Company has reviewed the sources for fugitive dust <br />from the Somerset facility and four major sources were identified. <br />Mitigation measures are proposed for each of these sources with the <br />possible elimination of one of the sources to a location distant from <br />town. AP-42 was used to calculate the emissions associated with these <br />changes; uncontrolled emissions totaled 1,972 TPY for these activities. <br />With the controls proposed in this plan, a reduction of 1,735 TPY to 237 <br />TPY was realized. <br />The implementation of these dust control measures does not affect the <br />capacity of the facility. The above changes in the operation of the <br />facility are to control the fugitive dust emissions and will neither <br />increase nor decrease the throughput of the train load-out. <br />5 <br />
