Lonq
Division Director
After our meeting on Wednesday, April 5, 2000, one more item that needs to be
addressed for the development of the Elk Creek Mine facilities came to my attention.
Since this revision proposes to increase the disturbed azea boundary and disturb
previously undisturbed lands, potential impacts to individuals or populations of
Threatened or Endangered, or Sensitive animals, or migratory bird species must be
addressed. Please discuss the Elk Creek Mine facilities with Terry Ireland, or other
representative from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. If there is potential for impacts to
individuals or populations of Threatened or Endangered, or Sensitive animals, or
migratory bird species, please follow the U.S. Fish and Wildlife survey protocol and
provide the survey results to the Division.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Sandra L.
