PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Oakridge Energy, Ina, whose office is iocated at 4613 Jacksboro Highway, Wichita Falls, <br />Texas 76301 (telephone (940) 322-4772) has filed an application for a technical revision <br />to a valid existing permit for the Carbon Junction Mine (permit C-92-080) with the <br />Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology. The subject of the revision is a modification <br />of the reclamation plan including reincorporation of approximately 152.87 acres. The legal <br />description of the permit area is: a tract of land located within Section 33, Township 34'/z <br />North, Range 9 West and Section 33 of Township 35 North, Range 9 West of the Sixth <br />Principal Meridian, La Plata County, Colorado and being more particularly described as <br />follows: <br />Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Section 33, T35N; Thence S 89°55'10" W, <br />513.29 feet along the south line of said Section 33, T35N; Thence S 18°14'00" W, <br />2186,51 feet, Thence S 62°37'53" W 266.50 fleet, Thence N 85°07'08" W, 183.39', <br />Thence N 42°04'29" W, 147.23 feet, Thence S 00°00'12" E, 1112.88 feet, Thence S <br />46°29'51" E, 206.19 feet, Thence S 03°1733" W, 975.07 feet along the east Gne of <br />NW'/.NE'/. of said Section 4, to the Northeast 1/16 comer of said Section 4; Thence <br />S 79°49'43" W, 1092.45 feet along the south line off the NW'/,NE'/a of said Section 4 <br />to the Center North 1/16 Comer of Said Section 4; Thence S 79°23'29" W, 916.43 <br />feet along t--e south line of the NE'/eNW'/. of Said Section 4 to a 5/8" rebar vrith a 1- <br />1/2' aluminum cap stamped PLS 18450; Thence North, 1234.40 feet to the north line <br />of the NE'/aNW'/e of said Section 4; Thence N 82°40'03" E, 269.99 feet along the <br />north line of the NW'/aNS~V'/9 of said Section 4 to a 5/8" rebar with a 1-1/2' <br />aluminum cap stamped PLS 18450; Thence N 12°46'13" E, 1495.67 feet; Thence N <br />02°32'25" E, 1094.74 feet; Thence N 00°59'47" E, 548.75 feet; Thence East 600.00 <br />feet; Thence N 14°06'30" E, 235,92 feet; Thence N 72°09'57" E, 174.30 fleet; Thence <br />S 69°50'40" E, 359.30 feet; Thence N 21°31'37" E, 791.07 feet; Thence N 85°48'07" <br />E, 1505.47 feet to the east line of the SE'/+SE'/. off said Section 33, T35N; Thence S <br />00°53'22" W, 709.42 feet along the east line of the SE'/,SE'/. of said Section 33, T35N <br />to the point of beginning, containing 215.08 acres, more or less. <br />The surface owners of the property are Oakridge Energy, Inc. and William D Ewing Jr, <br />and First Interstate Bank of Denver. The U.S.G.S. 7.5 minute quadrangles titled "Durango <br />East" and "Loma Linda" contain the permit area of the mine. The mine site is located two <br />miles southeast of the Durango city limits, midway up Carbon Junction Canyon, on Ewing <br />Mesa. This is approximately one mile east of the Highway 160-550 business route <br />junction, lying one mile east of the Animas River. A copy of the technical revision is <br />available for public review at the the La Plata County Clerk and Recorder's Office, La <br />Plata County Courthouse, 1060 Second Avenue, Durango, CO 81302, and at the <br />Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman St., Room 215, Denver, <br />Colorado 80203, phone (303) 866-3567. Anyone with an interest may submit written <br />comments or objections within 30 days of this publication.
