The budget document reflects the
rebuilding of the Minerals Program under HB 1115 and includes
information regarding changes in that Program and how those changes
would be effected.
There arc' two decision items included in the budget. One would allow
the Divi:;ion authority to spend money generated by interest from
forfeited Mineral Bonds currently on deposit. That money would be used
to pay oru=_ Reclamation Specialist to administer the contracting needed
to assure that reclamation of abandoned mine sites is completed.
Another eecision item in the budget reflects Phase II of HB 1115 and
would allow two additional Staff to be added to the Minerals Program in
July of 7992. It is anticipated that with revenues from Annual Fees,
seven people will be added to the Minerals Staff during the 1991-1992
Fiscal Year.
Division Program Supervisors provided the Board with highlights of the
future goals and objectives for their respective programs, i.e., for
Coal, Minerals and Inactive Mine Reclamation.
