1.0 INTRODUCTION
Intermountain Resources of Laramie, Wyoming completed vegetation cover,
production, and shrub density sampling for the reclaimed azeas on the H-G Mine site
during August of 1996 and 1997. These studies were conducted for the purpose of
presenting data on these reclaimed areas proposed for final bond release. Data was
collected according to parameters outlined in Colorado Division of Ivfinerals and Geology
(CDMG) Bond Release Guideline, 1995 Revision. A sampling plan was submitted to the
CDMG and approved prior to initiation of field work. CDMG personnel were also onsite
to review sampling procedures with Intermountain Resources personnel prior to the 1996
data collection. This sampling plan was revised at the request of the CDMG for the 1997
studies with respect to sample site location. Additional analyses of the 1996 data were
• also requested and completed for inclusion in this report.
2.0 LOCATION
The H-G Mine is located in Routt County, Colorado nine miles south of the town
of Hayden. The reference and reclaimed azeas are located in Sections 30 and 31 TSN
R88W. These areas are shown on the maps in Appendix F.
3.0 STUDY AREA
1996 Studv
The entire reclaimed azea was sampled as one unit or reclamation parcel except for
the approximately five acres included in the four approved shrub augmentation areas. The
. total reclaimed area sampled encompasses approximately 362 acres. Topsoil Pile B (6.1
1
