Your response to this adequacy item included a new Reclamation Plan Map <br />and a narrative referencing the original reclamation map included with <br />your conversion application. The Division considers the need maps <br />submitted with your adequacy response to be replacement maps and will <br />discard the original maps. The new map does not show the expected <br />physical appearance of the affected land, correlated to the proposed <br />mining and reclamation time table, as required by Rule 1Z.1.Z(7)(a). <br />This Rule specifically states that "the map must show proposed topography <br />of the area with contour lines of Sufficient detail to portray the <br />direction and rate of slope of all reclaimed lands. Please make the <br />necessary changes to the replacement maps. <br />EXHI9I>• L - R2clamatio~ Costs <br />A changed reclamation plan was submitted with your adequacy review responses. <br />The changes affecting reclamation costs are the reclamation highwall slope <br />change from 2:1 to 3:1, the placement of 6 to 10 inches of topsoil substitute, <br />hydro-seeding and hydro-mu '.thing. According to Rule 2.1.Z(13), reclamation <br />cost figures must reflect costs of reclamation that would be incurred by the <br />State. <br />New Item 1. Please explain the details of how the 3.3 m.c.f. of blasting was <br />calculated. It is assumed that benches will be blasted to form <br />the 3:1 slopes. How many benches of what dimensions will be <br />blasted? <br />
