Banta, <br />Division Director <br />RE: Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board Hearing on Trinidad Basin Mine (file <br />C-81-048) <br />Dear Mr. Mills: <br />The Division has scheduled an agenda item before the Colurado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board on August 22-23, 1990 in Rooni 220, 1313 Sherman St., Denver, <br />CO. to discuss the continuing reclamation obligations at the Trinidad Basin <br />Mine and the inability of TBMI to perform them. At this meeting the staff <br />will be requesting guidance from the Board regarding the avenue to pursue to <br />finalize the reclamation obligations at the site. The staff wi71 be <br />presenting a history of the operation and options available to the Board. <br />Surface landowners will be informed of the meeting and encouraged to submit <br />their suggestions and requests as they see fit. <br />If TBM would like to pursue any of the previously discussed options, the <br />Division will be able to assist as long as there is demonstrated progress <br />toward resolution of the outstanding reclamation concerns and obligations at <br />the site. <br />If you have any questions, please contact the or Dan Mathews. <br />Sincerely:. <br />Michael S.
