2.03.6 page 2 <br />Maps A-1 and A-2 show the location of the King Coal Mine site <br />and the permit area is shown on Map C-4. Maps .C-1 and C-2 show the <br />surface ownership and mineral ownership respectively of National <br />King Coal and surrounding lands. <br />Source of Legal Right to Enter <br />National King Coal, Inc. holds Federal Leases P-058300, C- <br />29125,and COC 49465 as well as private leases with the Kambe family <br />and with Poor Daughter's Coal Co., all in La Plata County. Copies <br />of these leases are included in Section 2.03.10. <br />We have a perpetual easement and right-of-way to use the <br />access road to reach the mine property and the Federal coal from <br />County Road 120. Enclosed is a copy of a deed regarding National <br />King Coal, Inc.'s right to enter the mine. The property on which <br />the haul road has been constructed is not owned by National King <br />Coal, Inc. A legal description of the access or right-of-way is <br />included in Section 2.03.6, page 3. The description was obtained <br />from a file at the office of the La Plata county Assessor in <br />Durango, Colorado. <br />Government Annroval <br />Enclosed is a letter from La Plata County authorizing the <br />operation of the National King Coal, Inc. mine, a copy of the <br />original Federal Coal Lease under the act of February 25, 1920, and <br />new Coal Lease under the Federal Coal Leasing Amendment Act of <br />1976. Included is also a copy of the U. S. Geological Survey's <br />approval letter for National King Coal's 211 plan for the King Coal <br />Mine (See Section 2.03.10). <br />. \av <br />i <br />
