Burgmaier
Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street, Rm # 215
Denver, CO 80203
Dear Ms. Burgmaier:
~ ~
~4
N~,^
~yy
Enclosed aze three (3) copies of Technical Revision 27 to the above referenced permit. This
revision is being submitted in response to Mr. Larry Routten's correspondence dated June 9,
1993, regarding drainage and sediment control measttres for the conveyor belt system.
The following materials are being provided under this cover letter:
1. Application Form for a Revision to a Coal Mining and Reclamation Per[nit;
2. Proposed Public Notice, and;
3. Revised pages 3.6-4, 3.6-4a and 3.6-4b.
P&M requests a delay in updating the Table of Contents until all pending Technical Revisions
including this revision are approved.
The revised permit material provides a discussion regazding the plan for sediment control and
prevention of the transport of coal fines to undisturbed azeas adjacent to the conveyor belt system.
Although the plan has not been formally described previously in the permit document, the plan as
described has been in effect for many yeazs and appeazs to be working adequately. A commitment
for the reclamation of the conveyor belt system corridor is also included. No adjustment to the
bonding is required. A review of Section 4.8 indicates that cleanup and reclamation of the
conveyor belt corridor is already included in the current reclamation bond calculations.
Should you have any questions or require additional information regarding the enclosed
information or the permit revision, please contact David Beverlin at the Edna Mine at your eazliest
convenience.
Sincerely,
Enclosure
cc: David Beverlin -Edna Mine
III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
999
~~
.~
°'~ ^ sF,o C~iL
Technic 1 RO-OO on 27 r'~t'<f ~~~9~ ~~;
September 3, 1993

Brian D.
