The last reported WAD cyanide levels in the I~wer lactivel
pond and upper pond respectively were 3.27 and 0.22 ppm.
BMG has completed the installation of the (NCO SOz detoxification
system and cyanide levels are expected to be even lowed.
Additional Board Ordered Corrective Action items from Hearino of 7/22/92.
(1) Maintain the WAD cyanide level below 15 ppm in the active tailings pond, and
below 10 ppm in the inactive tailings pond.
Status: In compliance
Lower (Active) Pond 3.27 ppm WAD CN
Upper Pond 0.22 ppm WAD CN
(2) BMRI shall implement the (NCO process as soon as possible, and bring the tailings
pond into compliance as soon as possible thereafter.
Status: BMG has completed construction of the (NCO process facilities and
brought the system on-line October 21, 1992.
No cyanide analyses of tailings pond water have been m8de since
start up of the (NCO process (10/21/921.
LDO/yjb
m:\oss\yjb\bmg
4
