We will follow the recommendation of Alvin L.
Jones, District Conservationist, White River Soil Conservation
Service, Meeker, Colorado, in our reclamation of the pit.
As mining proceeds northerly, the east facing pit edges will
be sloped and contoured to fit existing undisturbed areas. This
will be done as a part of our mining process. As room is left in
areas behind mining operations, we will follow with the topsoil
spreading and reseeding operations. We will do this approximately
600 feet behind active mine walls to allow room for mining and
stockpiling operations on Grade Level 1, Phases 2E and 3E. Mining
of Grade Level 2 will require revegetated areas to be stripped
again. On Grade Level 2, we will follow the same procedure as
Grade Level 1.
The area in Phase 1E, which contains the scale/office, shop
and concrete batch plant facilities which are located within the
Heavy Industrial Zoning will not be reclaimed until the permit is
finished. We will continue to control dust in this area at all
times.
The north permit boundary slope will be graded to a 3 to 1
slope during mining. Topsoil and seeding will follow immediately.
We will always maintain a 100 foot barrier with the neighboring
_J
1
