Public Notice <br />Bowie Resources Limited, P.O. Box 483, Paonia, CO, 81428, has submitted a complete <br />application for a technical revision to the Division of Minerals and Geology for its approved <br />Bowie No. 2 Mine, mining permit No. C-96-083. The proposed revision provides for the <br />construction of a light use road in an unnamed tributary to Terror Creek. The road descends <br />into the Terror Creek Drainage. The purpose of this road is to provide access to the <br />monitoring wells along Terror Creek. Additionally, this road will be used for crew access for <br />future drilling to the west. This road will alleviate most of the traffic on the Terror Creek <br />Descent. The new light use road will be located in the north'/z of Section 4, T 13 S, R 91 W. <br />The new road will traverse land owned by Bowie Resources and land managed by the Bureau <br />of Land Management. <br />The mine facilities are located north of State Highway 1336 near the town of Bowie, CO. A <br />pump station, three sediment ponds and unit train loadout are located south of State Highway <br />1336. The Fire Mountain Canal is located south of the mine facilities and north of the unit <br />train loadout. The North Fork of the Gunnison River is located south of the mine permit <br />boundary. The mine permit area is located on the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Bowie <br />Quadrangle map within the following sections. <br />Township 13 South.
