RE: Approval of TR•29, Sunnyside Mine, Permit No. M-1977-378
Dear Mr Perino.
On May 18, 2006, DMG received Technical Revision No. 29 (TR-29) to the Sunnyside Mine
permit. Under TR-29, the permit holder requested that the "Change/Dry Room" building and the
"Reagent Addition Water Treatment Plant" building be approved as permanent structures to be
utilized by the landowner. Documents submitted with TR-29 include a notarized letter from the
landowner, San Juan Corporation, in which the landowner requests that the two buildings
remain for their post-mining use, and that San Juan Corporation will be solely responsible for
both buildings in the future.
The file contains correspondence from the Board of County Commissioners, m which the Board
Chairman states that the buildings will be beneficial not only to the landowner, but also to the
County, and that such buildings as permanent structures will not conflict with County Zoning 8
Land Use Regulations. Copy of the Board's February 26, 2003 correspondence is enclosed.
Therefore, on May 24, 2006. DMG approved TR-29 to the Sunnyside Mine permit
Sincere) ,
