Long <br />Division Director <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology is proposing to approve with conditions a renewal application for <br />coal mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Blue Mountain Energy, Inc on January 26, <br />1999 for the Deserado Mine. In accordance with Rule 2.07.4(2)(c) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado <br />Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, we are providing notice of this proposed decision. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal <br />hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication of the public notice by <br />the Division in the Rcmgely Times. <br />The underground mine is located approximately 7 miles northeast of Rangely, Colorado. The permit azea is <br />further described as follows: <br />Portions of Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, l 1, and l2, T2N, R101W, 6th PM, all in Rio Blanco County; Portions of <br />Sections 21, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31, 34, 35, and 36, T3N, R101 W, 6th PM; All of Sections 22, 29, 32, and 33, <br />T3N, R101 W, 6th PM, all in Rio Blanco County. <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the above address and at <br />the Rangely Town Clerk's Office at the Rangely Town Hall.
