Mucklow from Route County and Brenda
Brown from Jackson County evaluated the mine site during July for usable forage. Their letter of
recommendation is enclosed for your review and file. In summary, their recommendation is for
188 Animal Units per Month (AUMS) and to graze the site in a short period of time as we have
done in previous years.
Given that the herd of cattle available from the neighboring ranch is 500 head and based
on 188 AUMS as recommended, grazing time converts to11.4 days. Accordingly, Kerc intends to
graze the site for a period of l ldays with 500 head of cattle. The grazing period is scheduled to
commence the first of October, 2003.
For ease of review, I have also enclosed copies of the previous 2 years (2001 & 2002)
grazing plans. You may note that, due to drought conditions last year, no grazing was scheduled
for 2002.
If you have any questions or require additional information, please call.
Sincerely,
George V.
