CO 80203 Division Director <br />Re: Apex No. 2 Mine (Permit No. C-81-011) <br />Technical Revision No. 07 (Incidental Boundary Change) <br />Dear Mr. Simpson: <br />Pursuant to Title 34, Article 33, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, the Division of Minerals and <br />Geology hereby issues notice that on February 23, 1995, a technical revision application for a <br />permit to conduct coal mining operations by Sunland Mining Corp., P.O. Box 289, Sturgis, <br />Kentucky 42459, was deemed complete for the purposes of filing. All reviews and comment <br />periods as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from this day of <br />filing. <br />The applicant proposes to revise underground coal mining operations at the Apex No. 2 Mine. <br />The technical revision addresses an incidental boundary change which would decrease the permit <br />area from 240 acres to 226.75 acres. <br />The Apex No. 2 Mine is located approximately 6.5 miles northwest of Oak Creek, Colorado, in <br />the SW'/. SW'/., Section 22, Township 4 North, Range 93 West of the 6th P.M. This tract of <br />land is shown on the USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Rattlesnake Butte. Please refer to the <br />two attached maps. <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Routt County <br />Courthouse in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
