We also inspected those aspects of the mined out
land which has been reclaimed.
Actually, the new application merely enlarges the present project to include the
remainder of this deposit in this location.
The earlier comments for the 110 application are et ill applicable to the remainder
of the project when converted to a 112 permit.
While vie iting the site, the reclamation work that is ongoing as the area ie mined
out, was also inspected. Although the area ie a very dry site and the slope of the
land is such that water tends to drain away rather quickly, the reseeding is showing
good success ae well as good diversity of plants, even though growth will no doubt
be somewhat limited by nature of the site.
f~'G~/
Don Bogart
Environment 1 Biologist
DB/jk
cc: File
Moss
Leslie
Kinney
Sin rely,
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES, James 5.
