On November 29, 1994 the Division received comments from your office regarding Cyprus
Empire's proposed revision for a development drill hole at the Eagle No. 5 and 9 Mine.
I forwarded your concerns on to Cyprus Empire and on December 2, 1994 Cyprus sent
additional information to the Division addressing these concerns.
Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology reviewed these answers from Cyprus Empire
and felt the comments outlined in your letter had been addressed. Cyprus Empire's drill
hole abandonment procedures are in conformance with Rule 4.07.3(2) of the Regulations
of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining. The Division made a
proposed decision to approve Cyprus Empire's technical revision and sent a public notice
to the paper located in the mine vicinity. Publication of the notice will initiate a ten (10)
day public comment period. Publication will likely have occurred between December 7,
1994 to December 9, 1994.
