Box 701007 <br />San Antonio, Texas 78270-1007 <br />(210)490-4788 <br />has filed a Technical Revision application to its approved Mining Permit No. C 84-063 with the <br />Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology to cease monitoring a geotechnical well for <br />groundwater at its Eastside Mine. The Eastside Mine is located in Section 24, TSS, R92W and <br />Section 19, TSS, R91 W, 6th P.M., Garfield County, Colorado, more specifically described as <br />follows: <br />Commencing from a point which bears S6 25' 08"W, 483' +/- from the NE corner of <br />section 24: thence south a distance of 905' +/_; thence S89 27' 34"E a distance of <br />2,650' +/-; thence south a distance of 975' +/-; thence west a distance of 4,160' +/-; <br />thence south a distance of 395' +/-; thence west a distance of 740' +/-; thence NS 23' <br />22"E a distance of 2,662' +/-; thence S80 04' 26"E a distance of 2,030' +(- to the <br />point of beginning. <br />The underground mining operation is located approximately 3.75 miles north of Silt, Colorado. <br />Access to the site is via Garfield County Road 237. The reclaimed area is approximately 1500 feet <br />south of the Grass Valley Reservoir. The Silt Quadrangle, 7.5 minute series, contains the area <br />described above. <br />This request to cease monitoring the geotechnical well for groundwater is made since the coal <br />refuse disposal facility it was supposed to monitor was never built.
