Steps Necessary to Abate Violation, CV-99-003:
1. Repair underground mine water conveyance systems at the Fish Creek Borehole so as
to prevent further exceedances of federal effluent limitations.
2. Submit a complete Technical Revision to CDbIG Permit No. C-33-056 to revise the
sections associated with the protection of the hydrologic balance (2.05-6(3)(a)(i)) and
with the probable hydrologic consequences of underground mining activities
(2.05.6(3)(b)(iii)), so as to appropriately reflect both the current and the projected
hydrologic regime within and adjacent to the permit area and to includz to plans for
treatment of the underground mine water discharge.
