General Comments <br />Gob had been pushed or slid onto an area where topsoil had not been stripped <br />on the south side of the laydown gob pile. NOr! C-85-036 was issued for <br />failure to protect soil resources. <br />~`ay <br />.y <br />The sediment ponds below the gob pile and below the Bear overburden stockpile <br />were both very full with water. These ponds should be watchad carefclly for <br />proper handling of contained water. <br />Drainage on the portal bench is being properly handled. A few modifications <br />in ttre drainage system are planned by the operator. Kline water continues to <br />be piped down the bench outslope to the road ditch. <br />Gob material is being cleaned up from east of the portals. A small amount of <br />coal has been stockpiled on the portal bench. <br />Construction of the bin wall behind the substation is progressing.
